What does the road trip itinerary contain?

The travel guide contains all the necessary information for a successful visit to Canada.

The complete itinerary is mapped out. You'll visit the most famous spots in Western Canada, but we'll also guide you to hidden, lesser-known places that aren't yet on most tourist guide maps.

We offer you stops, but of course, you'll have the choice to stop or not along the way, as well as add extra stops beyond what we suggest.

The travel guide also includes a list of unique addresses where you can grab a drink or a meal in the evening.

What are the additional fees?
  • Accommodation for the first and last nights : to be arranged (option available or to be booked by you)
  • Fuel : ± 500€ for the entire trip
  • Food and drinks : more info above
  • National parks: 30-40€ / person
  • Ferry : ± 150€ for the round trip Vancouver - Vancouver Island for 2 people and 1 car
Can I customize the trip to my liking?

We offer a fully mapped 12-day road trip, so it is not possible to adjust the duration and schedule of the trip.

You are of course free to extend your trip on your own initiative, for example, by staying a few extra days in Canada afterwards.

How much can we leave for?

Canada Nomads is specially designed for groups of 2 people.

Want to go with more than 2 people ? That's possible, but you'll need to form several small groups. Each group must register separately and will be assigned its own car.

Feel free to contact us in advance to check availability.

How does the payment work?

Within 5 days of your registration, you will need to pay a 35% deposit to confirm your trip.

After that, you have until 45 days before departure to change your options and pay the balance. If you change your options, the total amount will be recalculated automatically.

If you did not opt for damage coverage, you will also need to pay a deposit before departure (more info in the insurance section).

There are different payment options.

Did your payment fail? It’s likely due to an error when entering the reference number or exceeding your account limit.

Can I still cancel my trip?

It is still possible to cancel your trip. Check our cancellation policy or find out about our ultra-flexible conditions valid until 01/03/2026.

What are the ultra-flexible conditions?

These conditions are available to everyone who books among the first. They allow you to move your trip to another time in the same season (subject to availability) or cancel without charges before 01/03/2026.

What about accommodations in Vancouver?

The accommodations for the first night (day 1) and the last night (day 12) in Vancouver are not included in the base price. You have 2 options :

  • Add our accommodation option when booking: we have selected a comfortable and well-located hotel for these two nights.
  • Book your own accommodation in Vancouver according to your preferences and budget.

This flexibility allows you to choose the type of accommodation that suits you best to start and end your Canadian adventure.

Y a-t-il une assistance sur place ?

Upon your arrival in Canada, you will be warmly welcomed by our partner on-site on day 2, during the pickup of your vehicle. They will greet you and give you a brief explanation before you start your road trip.

During your journey, you will find all the useful information in our app. Additionally, just before your departure, you will have access to a messaging group with all the participants leaving on the same date. In this group, you can communicate with each other, and someone from the team will also be available in case of emergency.

Do you want to take action for nature?

Thanks to our partnership with Greentripper, you can offset the CO2 emissions from your trip.

Your contribution goes towards the certified project Wildlife Cambodia, which protects various types of forests and the wildlife living there. Additionally, Travelbase also contributes on its side.

Check out all of Travelbase's initiatives.

Are national parks subject to entry fees?

Yes. You will visit 5 national parks during your road trip that require a daily pass (about €10/person/day).

Canadian Rockies (1 pass for these 4 parks):

  • Glacier, Yoho, Banff, and Jasper

Vancouver Island:

  • Pacific Rim National Park Reserve

Estimated budget: €30-40 per person for the entire trip.

Provincial parks (Mount Robson, Joffre Lakes, etc.) are free.

Can you use a drone in Canada?

The use of drones is prohibited in all Canadian national parks (Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Glacier, Pacific Rim), where most of the highlights of your itinerary are located.

Fines can reach up to 25,000 CAD.

Outside the parks, the use is still highly regulated (mandatory registration, pilot certification, restricted zones).

Our advice : Enjoy the scenery without a drone and respect the tranquility of nature!
